Activate: Turning Insight into Influence

At Fellshore, we’ve always wanted our stakeholders to have a clear picture of how we can support them. To do this, we developed four core strands of work: Shape, Engage, Activate, and Deliver.


Activate is about how we take big pieces of work, strategies, research, evaluations, and use the content within them to provoke a response. That response might be policymakers engaging with evidence, employees shifting behaviours inside an organisation, or communities mobilising around a shared cause. Too often, research, reports, or strategies gather dust because they aren’t translated into compelling content that make it clear what response is required or that inspire them to act. At Fellshore, we bridge that gap: we take the detail and turn it into clear messages, human narratives, and persuasive campaigns that connect with the right audiences. By making complex insights accessible and actionable, we help purpose-led organisations transform knowledge into momentum, and ideas into real-world impact. And its what we love to do!


We’ve seen too much knowledge and insights sit on shelves, and in our experience the reason it sits there is usually down to three barriers:


1.        Emotional barriers

People care, but they can feel powerless or overwhelmed about how to act.  Climate change is a good example if this.  For many, the challenge feels too big “What difference will it make if I recycle more, drive less, or cut down on meat when the problem is global?” That sense of helplessness often stops people from doing anything at all.

 

At Fellshore, we help organisations overcome these emotional barriers by showing stakeholders that they are not acting alone. Through the use of social proof, we make it clear how individual actions, when combined with the actions of others, build into something much bigger. By turning overwhelming challenges into clear, achievable steps and then amplifying stories of people already taking those steps, we create belief that change is possible. This gives people hope, confidence, and motivation to play their part, knowing their contribution matters because it is part of a collective effort.

 

2.        Strategic alignment

Your team is your biggest asset and can be your biggest activist! But often ensuring employees truly understand and connect with strategy and purpose can be a challenge. Teams want to perform at their best and live the organisation’s values, but that potential is often lost when the vision and objectives aren’t clear, or when people can’t see how their role contributes to the bigger picture. Strategic clarity, strong internal communications, and genuine employee engagement are critical to building high-performing, values-driven teams. At Fellshore, we help organisations invest positively in this space, translating strategy into messages and meaning that inspire motivation, sharpen focus, and enable people to see the impact of their contribution to the greater good.

 

3.        Practical barriers

Sometimes people want to help but lack the tools, resources, or opportunities to do so. A research report may identify urgent issues but provide no way for policymakers or communities to respond. We make acting easy, providing toolkits, assets, and clear calls to action that remove that friction and allow momentum to be built. By giving people, the practical steps and tools they need, whether it’s a petition to sign, a pledge to make, or a toolkit to use, organisations can turn intention into action.


Measuring what matters

Inspiring actions is only half the story in our Activate area, the other half is knowing whether our activities worked. At Fellshore, we take evaluation seriously. Using data, feedback, and stakeholder engagement, we build frameworks and CRMs that track engagement, behaviours, and outcomes. This means organisations can see not only who they reached, but how people responded and crucially, what impact was achieved. By embedding learning into the process, we ensure that each campaign, each message, and each activation leaves a legacy of insight that strengthens what comes next.

At its heart, Activate is about turning knowledge into movement, bridging the gap between insight and action. By removing barriers, clarifying strategy, providing the tools to act, and measuring the results, we help purpose-led organisations deliver influence that lasts.
